While out surfing the net today, I came across 2 videos on youtube that really caught my eye. Both are of VAWT (Vertical Axis Wind Turbine) setups. One is made from a plastic drum like you see for most any liquid. All the parts (less generator) to create this are less than $100 dollars.
If that isn’t green enough for you, The second is a VAWT system that has its ‘wings’ made of bamboo. A rewewable source of materials making renewable energy. Both are very clever and have great possibilities for wind power and the DIY crowd. Enjoy!
I think that it is very impressive, and encouraging that so many people are coming up with so many clever ideas to power their homes.
